Meet Karis

Let me introduce you to Karis. I had the pleasure of analysing her best colours, and I want to walk you through the process. As you can see, Karis is a beauty. Her skin tone leans towards the olive side and tans easily. She sports medium brown hair, a sprinkle of freckles, and hazel eyes. If you follow a few colour analysis accounts, you might already be guessing her season. Are you thinking Autumn? Am I right? When it comes to colour analysis, it's always worth keeping an open mind and letting the drapes guide us.

During the consultation, we noticed that the soft, hazy Summer drapes didn't harmonize with Karis's skin tone. They cast a dull, greyish tone, which, of course, wasn't the goal. On the other end of the spectrum, the intense, bright Spring shades seemed to distract from her natural beauty.

That left us pondering between the earthy Autumn shades and the deeper Winter colours. While the Autumn shades complemented Karis's hair, eyes, and olive complexion, it was the cool, deep Winter tones that looked absolutely stunning. The Winter palette can include everything from deep jewel tones to icy light colors (think Elsa!). For Karis, it was evident that those deeper, richer tones were the way to go.
